Affirming Ministries Journey

An Affirming Ministry in the United Church is one that is public, intentional and explicit about being open and welcoming to all people regardless of race, gender, age, economic circumstances, physical or mental health challenges, gender identity or sexual orientation.

On May 1, 2022 after an 18 month process of education, discussion and discernment, Kingsview’s congregation voted to become an Affirming Ministry and adopt the proposed Affirming Vision.  On June 19, 2022 we celebrated this exciting milestone.  This page provides more information for the Kingsview community of faith on our ongoing Affirming journey towards open minds, open arms and open hearts.
